Billabong, my betta fish swimming around its tank.. (old video) RIP BILLABONG Sept 2006 – March 2009 (2.5 years old) Adopted from a Petco in Eureka, California in September 2006. Billabong was my only pet when I was living on the West Coast.. When it was time to move back to the East Coast, he flew with me on an airplane across the country (he was in a little Tupperware jar). He’s lived a long life, but became ill with a large infection on his top fin and held on as long as he could. I cried so so much when I buried him, he’s now resting next to a fish pond in a beautiful back yard in Wake Forest, North Carolina. We’ve been through a lot together.. and I’m going to miss him so much :[
