Can I put clean bones in my aquarium ~IF~ I coat it with some kind of varnish or silicone…?

Of whatever is used on aquarium decorations. Even fish safe paint or something.
They are smoked bones. The dogs have cleaned all the tasty stuff off and i would scrub the snot out of them

Is there paint that is safe to use on fish aquarium decorations?

I want to sculpt my own aquarium decorations to create a custom theme. I am not sure which clays would be safe. I considered making them out of ceremic clay, but I have no idea about paint. I know most paints wouldn’t be safe, but I know there has to be some. I’ve seen many cheap (yet over-priced) rockish cave decorations painted a variety of horrid neon colors. Also, if anyone knows which clays are safe I’d appreciate the advice. I’d just carve them out of stone if I could. :P

I tried turning my pool into a fish aquarium, and my fish keep dying for some reason anyone know why?

Its a pretty big pool, I moved all of the plants and aquarium decorations into the pool. I gradually moved the fish from the tank into the pool, i thought it would work. I just wanted to swim with my fish. My dad said he’ll talk to the pool store tomorrow. The last time I called the pool store they hung up on me, maybe they think im a little kid. Thank you for all your answers.

What should I sell my Aquarium for?

I have a 90 gal. acrylic fish tank. Included will be the rocks, filter, bubble bar, a 3 sm. aquarium decorations, heater, lights and hood, tank vaccum and tank scrapper. Also comes with the stand (homemade black tongue and groove), and 3 large fish : 2 chillidad and 1 chinese sucker. The filter is an Emperor Bio-wheel and the lights cost us around +. All the leftover fish food and acrylic glass cleaner can go too. The tank has a couple scratches but you can hardly tell if you keep it clean. How much should I charge for it all?

Thanks for your help!

How much for an established saltwater aquarium?

I’m considering selling my saltwater aquarium and I was wondering how much I could expect to get for it. I’d sell it with everything I have with it:

- 25 gal aquarium
- the water that’s in it
- aquarium stand (it’s like a cabinet, not one of those flimsy wire ones)
- coral gravel
- water heater
- filter
- 1 clown fish
- sea shells and other aquarium decorations

So any suggestions on price?

Disinfecting Aquarium Decorations?

I just got a bunch of used aquarium decorations (some of which were also used for reptiles). I want to know the best way to disinfect these. They aren’t visibly dirty, but I would not think that rinsing these decorations would be enough to get rid of old bacteria on them from other tanks and reptiles. I also know not to use soap. What should I do?
