What are all the things needed to start a 30 gallon aquarium?

I just bought a 30 gallon aquarium….it came with all the decorations…plants…rocks etc….also came with a bubble tube…..a fliter and a heater and thermometer…do I need anything else? Also came with a python tube too……….. am I ready to get started?

How should I set up my aquarium?

How should I set my aquarium up?
Ok, right now my aquarium looks fine, but I want to rearrange the decorations.

Items in my aquarium:
- 4 medium long plants (2 purple, 2 yellow)
- I meduim tunnel with 2 attached small plants
- 1 small tunnel
- 1 medium flat surfaced rock
- 1 twelve inch bubble wand/stick

My aquarium has white gravel and is a 20 gallon aquarium.

How should I setup my aquarium?

Example: the rock goes there, the plants go there, etc.

Decorations for Cichlid Aquarium?

Hey everyone. I’ve decided to upgrade to a 29 gallon cichlid tank. I would want a Malawi tank setup, so what sort of decor should I have. I know they need a lot of shelter and rocks, but should I put in plants? If so, which kind, live or fake? If live, which kinds. Thanks everyone.

novice aquarium. something forming on decorations. look like brains. snails?

about 2 weeks ago i put plants in my aquarium for the first time. one type was not snail free but i was told to submerge the plants in cold water for an hour to kill anysnails that might be there, which i did.
now i see that there are things forming on my decorations. they look like light brown brains encased in a membrane.
i know its not eggs cause i only have one fish in the tank. could it be snails that werent killed off? if not what could it be?
ive just started my tank project. ive had my water tested and all levels of chemicals and such are normal.any answers or even pictures are greatly appriciated.

I tried turning my pool into a fish aquarium, and my fish keep dying for some reason anyone know why?

Its a pretty big pool, I moved all of the plants and aquarium decorations into the pool. I gradually moved the fish from the tank into the pool, i thought it would work. I just wanted to swim with my fish. My dad said he’ll talk to the pool store tomorrow. The last time I called the pool store they hung up on me, maybe they think im a little kid. Aquarium rocks and decorations what kind and how many?

I have a 55 gallon tank with 2 black tetras, 3 platies a guppy, a pecostimos and a chinese algae eater. I am wondering how much gravel rocks should be in the bottom of the tank. I have just enough to barely cover the bottom right now, it makes cleaning very easy. I also was wondering what kind of live plant can I have in there? What is the easiest to care for? Is it a pain to have live plants in the tank? I know they are good for some fish but cleaning a 55 gallon tank can be time consuming with one siphon hose and buckets. I don’t want to add more problems. I would love for my fishy to have something real in there if it will help them and not be a BIG hassle.
